Surface pattern
Winwood Products is a supplier of the following Grey Step pattern slip-resistant plywoods:
This slip-resistant, exterior plywood is overlaid with a UV-resistant patterned polypropylene coating that has anti-slip properties. This coating is bonded to the core plywood using an elastic, two-part glue that meets D4 requirements for exterior uses.
The UV-stable anti-slip coating maintains its colour even when exposed to changing climatic conditions, and provides a hygenic & easy-clean surface.
The surface covering of this slip-resistant plywood is environmentally-friendly. It does not contain any chlorine derivatives, and is taint & odour free.
Information
Technical details (general)
- Construction:
- Exterior birch plywood faced with a slip-resistant, patterned polyolefin coating that offers enhanced safety in the form of a resilient and water-proof anti-slip surface
- Standard thickness:
- 6.5mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, 21mm, 24mm, 27mm, 30mm
(plus surface coating)
- 6.5mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, 21mm, 24mm, 27mm, 30mm
- Standard sizes:
- Made to order up to max. 1525x3600mm
- Special sizes:
- In principle, any size can be produced up to the maximum stated above
- Surface coating:
- UV resistant - similar to RAL 7004
- Good colour stability (6-7 according to DIN 54004)
- 1.15mm thick slip-resistant polyolefin surface coating with smooth polyolefin balancer, unless otherwise agreed
- Edge treatment:
- Typically sealed with exterior acrylic paint to protect against moisture
- Notes:
- If the panels are subsequently cut to size, any newly exposed edges must be fully resealed using a suitable exterior protection system (e.g. acrylic paint)
- Rounding any sharp corners & edges will greatly help in the resealing process, as this will better allow the paint to fully adhere
- It is also highly recommended that after drilling holes or similar other areas where the water-resistant protective surface has been broken are sealed in a similar manner
- Wear rating:
- Taber abrasion value = 3500R-5400R
- Tolerances:
- Length/width: up to 1m @ ±1mm, up to 2m @ ±2mm , 2m & above @ ±3mm
- Thickness: +0.2mm, -0.5mm
- (Others by arrangement)
- Specification:
- EN 636-3 - Exterior & high moisture applications
- Bonding Quality:
- EN 314-2 Class 3 - Exterior
- E1 (EN 13986) Low formaldehyde, CARB II, ULEF (Ultra Low Emitting Formaldehyde)
